Casa Del Ponte

Naples, Italy (2017 – 2019)

Museoplan designed the transformation of this abandoned XIX century stables under the Posillipo viaduct to be used as a reception and exhibition space with an attached guest residence.  The project consists of a single large room overlooking the Bay of Naples, adapted to present major works of painting and sculpture from the owner’s collection; the adjoining residential wing closes one side of the entry court. A semicircular seating area framed in pietra lavica is adjacent to the court while the steeply sloped site has been entirely re-landscaped to create a new garden that will also provide a setting for sculpture.
