Urban Constellation, Museum Master Plan

A master programming and planning effort for a large complex of abandoned sheds on a former industrial site, to be restored and converted to a collection of new cultural uses to include museums of Urbanism, Architecture, Design and Fashion, artists’ workshops and residences and a design marketplace. Museoplan created a comprehensive institutional program for the complex as well as exhibition narratives for the four museums and preliminary guidelines to direct the restoration and new design for the 5-hectare site.
The full architectural program of over 80,000 square meters designed by Herzog & de Meuron Architects is to be implemented in phases over the next six years.
